A powerful technique that just about anyone can use to overcome obstacles to experience genuine emotional freedom.
The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a psychological acupressure technique based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments. EFT was designed and developed in 1995 by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineer, and Adrienne Fowlie, based on the teachings and work of psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan. EFT is simple, relatively painless, quick and can be self administered by anyone without prior knowledge about meridians. While you are thinking about a specific problem whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. you tap with your fingertips on specific meridians and repeat positive affirmations. This combination of tapping the energy meridians and repeating positive affirmation works to clear the emotional block from the electromagnetic energy that flows through the body, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease. Gary Craig describes the basic principle behind his work this way: “The cause of all emotional problems is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” As you will experience, the primary function of EFT is to release the disruptions in the energy system by tapping on specific acupuncture points. EFT is used for some of the following benefits:
As you can see EFT is effectively used to overcome negative emotions, to improve health, to increase effectiveness in everything we want to do and to improve the quality of our life.
